Bridge work nearing completion

I am putting the finishing touches on my bridge-gate and can soon move on to laying more track. The hobo at the wood fire was a nice idea. I also ballasted the bridge ends and added the walkways. I may put a track worker on one of the walkways. I am still trying to decide if I will need horizontal adjustment of the gate for temperature or humidity changes in the future.

Naches river bridge on PCRy

After spending a good deal of time looking on Google Earth at the Naches river NP bridge north of Yakima, WA and the Cowlitz river east of Chehalis, WA I have drawn up a design that I hope to duplicate on my Pacific Cascade Railway gate/bridge. If the PCRy had been built as surveyed by C.A. White in 1878 it would have crossed both of these rivers.
